American Crystal Sugar Co. last week released their forecast payments for the 2017 crop and announced the final payment for the 2016 crop, sources say.
For the 2017 crop the initial payment projection is $46 per ton, according to sources who had received the letter. The company will withhold $4 per ton for unit retains.
The 2016 crop final payment will be $42.45 per ton. That figure is up from the first projected payment of $38 per ton in last November’s projection for that crop. The final payment for 2015 sugar beets was $49.77 per ton.
