A Little Rain May Help Tame Some Of The Blowing Dirt In Central N.D.

The Oct. 9 rains were a welcome site to some central North Dakota farmers after the dust storm they got on Oct. 6-8. Winds that gusted to the 50 mph-plus category on Oct. 8 were evident as some farmers called it quits for the day, even as their soybeans and corn were hitting the proper moisture contents for harvest.

Check out my Agweek story on Oct. 10, offering harvest progress, yield and quality comments from a half-dozen or so key elevator operators on a swing through southeast, central and northeast North Dakota.
