New tool for sunflower soil-borne pests

The May 19 issue of the North Dakota State University weekly Crop & Pest report. Among this week’s  topic highlights:

  • Mustang Max (zeta-cypermethrin) is available from FMC for early season control of wireworms, cutworms and white grubs in sunflower. The pyrethroid is labeled at 4.0 ounces per acre. For application details, go to, says Janet Knodel, extension entomologist.
